About

My name is Lindsey LaTray and I am an artist and art teacher based in Portland. I fell in love with drawing and painting when I started taking art classes at Masters School of Art in 2009. I remember clearly the first time I experienced the magic of applying a loaded paintbrush to a blank canvas. The miracle of how brushstrokes can become so much more is still amazing to me. Landscapes, portraits, still life, illustrations, abstracts – the possibilities are endless. I love to travel and find inspiration everywhere, in both extraordinary and ordinary things. I have been teaching art since 2011 and received a Masters School of Art teacher’s certification in 2014.

Art Instruction

Professional art classes in your home!

I am a travelling art teacher serving the Portland Metro area including Beaverton, Wilsonville, Tigard, and Oregon City.

Brothers, sisters, friends, cousins, and parents are all welcome to do art class together. Or, take a private lesson!

Classes and mediums offered: Drawing, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, Prismacolor pencils, pastels, portrait, animals, landscape, still life, illustration, cartooning, anime, and abstract.

Supplies: For regular art classes I recommend families purchase their own supplies and I can provide detailed lists of what we would need. For a one time event I can bring the supplies for a supply fee of $20 for a drawing party or $40 for a painting party.

Ages: 6-adult

I believe drawing and painting are like math and reading, skills anyone can learn and use to communicate thoughts and feelings.
